Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become a member of the site?Find the title, "Victory Christian Fellowship", at the top of the main page. To the right of it you should see "create an account". Click on this and you will be taken to a registration page. Follow the directions on that page. Don't forget to click the "submit" button when you have completed the data. And that's it. You're now officially registered.
What if I forget my password or username? If you have a valid e-mail address where you can be privately contacted, and inform the site administrator of your problem, he should be able to assist you. Please note that it may not be instantaneous, but it should occur at least within the next 24 hours.
If I have a question not covered here, or a suggestion about the site, how do I contact someone?Go to the bottom of any page, on the left, and you will find a "Contact" point. Click this highlighted area and an e-mail form will automatically appear. Type in your question or suggestion in the large blank space (You do not have to fill in the subject area). Click the "Send" button at the top, left side of the form. Your mail will automatically be sent to the website administrator. You should have a reply within the next 24 hours.
Why should I "log on"?Some sections of the website are now restricted to registered viewers only. In order to access them you must be logged on as a registered user.
What is the "Main Links" bar? This is the series of topics listed in red at the top of the main page and just below the title, "Victory Christian Fellowship". See also Q&A "How do I get to another page".
Why do some articles have a word or words higlighted in blue? This signifies a "hyperlink". This type of link can take you immediately to a new website simply by clicking on the highlighted area.
What is the purpose of having "topical names" next to articles in the "News" section? The topics allow your webmaster to tie current articles and previous articles together (it's called "archiving") by certain categories. This way, if you like a current article and would be interested in reading similar articles, you can easily find them by simply using your mouse to click the topic (to the right) INSTEAD of clicking the article itself. For example: to read the current article, "Just a Thought" by Brother Mac, you would click on "Just a Thought". But to see a listing of all of Brother Mac's articles, you would click on "From the Pastor". Hope this helps!
How do I get to another page on the site?In some cases simply clicking the hyperlink ( it's blue) will take you straight there. If this doesn't work, go to the top of the main page. Find the words in "red" (About Us, FAQ, etc.). Click the category you want.
Is there an easy way to get back to the "homepage" after visiting one or more of the links in the Main Link Bar?Yes. Clicking on the logo, "Jesus is Lord", in the upper left corner, will automatically take you back to the homepage.
Can I add a photo to my personal data?Yes. When you create your account, follow the directions given there. If you have any problems with this, notify the site administrator at www.vcfinfo@hotmail.com. He will respond within 24 hours.
I found a photo I would like to copy and save. Is this possible? That depends on the programs you have on your computer. Find the picture you want to save, put your "cursor" (pointer) on it and "right-click" your mouse. Look for a command such as "Save this picture as" or "Save image as". Click that and when the directions come up, decide in which file or folder you want it saved to. Now simply click "Save" and the picture should now be stored in whatever file or folder you chose. Go to that file or folder, open it, and if you were successful, your picture should now be available on your own computer.
If I'm not registered with this site, can I still receive notice of important current and upcoming events?Yes. There is an e-mail signup box. It is located near the bottom of the home page on the left.
Can I listen to sermon tapes online?Yes. Click on "Media Downloads". This will take you our "sister site" which has a huge library of sermons, as well as classes previously taught, from which to choose.
